Now, after some research into his other posts, I can see where this "person" has a habit of being argumentative and somewhat a$$holish. Cruise the ATOT forum and you will find dozens of them; just like him. I guess the point is that if he strictly craps on threads with no real point, he deserves a vacation. If he makes a point (even if we don't agree with it), I think it is hard to go that route (banning).
Trust me, this was hard to post, especially in light of the "power" of the previous posts. I'm talking two lifers, etc. In addition, I HATE to (even sort of) defend an IDIOT. Make no mistake that I believe he/she is just that, for the most part. However, there are hundreds upon hundreds of idiots posting on a daily basis. Whether they actually cross the line and truely violate the rules is the real question though. Yes, he has a habit of being argumentative and a PITA. So......!

(Be gentle folks, I actually think I'm doing the right thing here. NO, I did not read each and every single post of each thread he has been involved with; just the basics of the more recent ones.) Hey, you have to tempt fate once in a while; wny not ruin your reputation at the same time!

^-- As for what's different about when others take up a crusade, I guess I'd say that his cause is retarded. Big deal if somebody can use four $20-50 drives and get similar/superior performance. That does jack for the person that only has the desire (or space) for a single drive. I still say you've gotta pick and choose your battles. There's just no wisdom that I see in the fight he's stepped up to.

Personally, I'd say toss him to the curb for a week or two. Upper-shelf troll maybe, but still a troll. That he suckers so many folks in (myself included) should be reason enough (in my magical purple plaid world) Just a waste of bandwidth. Shame on me for taking the bait.

Exactly. He is more than welcome to flame away in OT, and he does jump in occasionally, but he has been a habitual offender in Hot Deals for years, yet always manages to escape with a no more than a warning (if anything) no matter how flagrant he is.

Oh, I'm sure he'll come in here and whine that you're all wannabee mods and twist some fragrant of the HD forum rules and interpret his actions as trying to benefit the community. He always does.
