So he Clearly does have something to do with them

Get it... Clearly...

The claim I made in the OP is that the UK has possibly arrested a member of LulzSec, you posted a tweet from them confirming that, even though he isn't a highly valued member.

I made the claim he was a member of LulzSec, the BBC asserted that he had been arrested for hacking. Both appear to be true at present, though they may not be related, that is all.

LIKE I SAID BEFORE:

I submit to Scotland Yard that Hal9000's posting on the internet falls under the Computer Misuse Act and request they immediately investigate him.

This.

Why didn't you just put this in the same thread we were discussing this in. Oh wait because I and others already talked about and posted this same story in that thread and you decided it needed another one any way.

"Serious Organised Crime Agency"? Is there one for organized crime that isn't serious? Also, how can anyone take them seriously when they use crappy British English?

S.O.C.A. makes a better acronym. Policemen like that sort of crap.

They'll catch the other fuckwits soon enough. If they think they're invincible it's going to make their inevitable bust all the more laughable. Laughable as in lulz.

Article and video where Kevin Mitnick starts talking about LulzSec at about the 4 minute mark in the following video via CBS News’ What’s Trending.

Pretty sure it will go down as he predicts - one [or more] of the core group will be arrested and will cut a deal to bring down the rest. However, as Mitnick says - it's very easy to remain anonymous in this day and age if you want - "Free" wifi, buying pre-paid visa with cash, pre-paid cell phone with cash, etc - and therefore will be very difficult to catch them...

Interesting watch, thanks.

I agree 100% with what Mitnick said as well. Once one is caught, it's almost guaranteed many others will too. It's like we talk about here on AT; it's easy to be bold online, but if (big if) you get the FBI knocking at your door, you are most likely to shit your pants and quickly fess up.

As more and more details unfold, it appears that Ryan isn't even a member of LulzSec even in the minor sense that they originally admitted to on the twitter page. They originally knew they didn't catch one of them, but then decided they would claim he was one of their "minor members" and IRC admin so that they could give the impression that law enforcement got a win. Even if its a small win.

Dude appears he is definitely in no way tied to LulzSec and yet the media still portrays it that way. Love those Brits. Lulz

I just thought of something, their twitter says they are on the lulz boat....maybe they literally are on a ship. Could make them insanely difficult to catch.
