We love UT2004 but we're looking for another title.

I guess it's the online game part that keeps it new. People's personalities and style really come out in online play. Some go right for you while others sneak around looking to back shoot you. Other's still like to act goofy and mess up the play for everyone. Some play supportive while others play for themselves and don't care about the team winning, just that they have the highest score.

Anyway, we're looking for another title that will satisfy. Any suggestions?

Would that be Counter-Strike: Souce? I have it on a Steam menu. My pc isn't really good enough for this title. I tried to play but since I'm in 800x600 mode I can't see the opponent until I'm dead. IOW, I suck at CS:S. I'm thinking of FarCry or something else.

Since you say "we" are looking for another game and talking about online play, FarCry is not an online game you want to head toward. FarCry is a great single player game, and IMO, that's it. The Tribes suggestion is a great one, and you may also want to consider Painkiller (haven't heard much about it's MP).

Sorry to say, but if you're machine is having trouble running CS:S, don't even think about running Far Cry or Tribes: Vengeance.

Er, is the one in your sig the one you are using?? That is capable of running them all then; I don't see why CS:S is so slow?

It isn't really the speed at 800x600, but the lack of resolution. Ofter, at 800x600 in UT2004 or whatever, I feel at quite a disadvantage cause I don't notice much until they get closer than someone else who's at a higher resolution.
Then again, when the action really starts then my fps drop very low. The average fps may be ok, but not the minimum fps.
