I have seen commercials for it but I don't know what it tastes like. Is it any good?

Seems a tad expensive here.

We used to have Church's Chicken and that was great.

So I will hope for the best and maybe give it a try next week.
 
Ours was just shut down by the health inspector, no lie. The owners would not fix the freezers and the meat wasn't being kept to the cold standards.
 
Biscuits are major win. The spicy chicken fingers are good...but at like $9 for a combo meal it's not *that* good.
 
Their chicken is better than KFC but their biscuits and coleslaw are crappy compared to KFC. So we get the chicken from Popeyes and then stop by KFC for biscuits and slaw.

Fried chicken is good because it HAS to be good, there's no other possible result from deep fried battered meat. Other than that though, Popeye's chicken isn't any better than any other fried chicken. Their red beans and rice is pretty good.
 
I like the seasoning on Popeye's chicken and, as previously mentioned, their red beans and rice are a decent side dish.

KFC has better biscuits? KFC biscuits are like flavorless lumps of cakey, dry flour. Popeye's biscuits are salt and butter drenched morsels of sin hand cut and baked in firey hells by the Lord of Lard himself.
 
They have coupons at their site all the time.

My wife and her family when they came to the US the first place they ate at was Popeyes chicken. So that is her Fav for life now.
 
Popeyes Spicy chicken, good biscuits and crazy good Cajun fries.

The fried Okra at Church's and their biscuits make it worth a trip there too.

Off topic, what variety of rancid fat does KFC use to pollute their mashed potatoes? Worst side dish at any chicken joint.
 
Popeyes is the best national chicken chain in the US. PERIOD. No other chain seasons as well as them. Oh and look for the "Cajun Sprinkles" packets for more flavor, not that it is needed.....
 
Both Popeye's Chicken here was shut down here due to unsanitary conditions. I will NEVER eat at a Popeye's Chicken ever.
