I've kept up with the tablet rumors on a near daily basis, seems Steve has a web portal/book and magazine replacement in mind for the tablet.

In my experience playing with a Dell tablet, that's what fits the best, too hard to input text, etc on the damn things, makes email a PITA with just the tablet interface...

What I'm hearing about is a 3G/WiFi AND a WiFi only version.

I really don't know how well the tablet will be adopted, IMHO, for the same price, I see no overwhelming reason to not just buy a laptop.... 😕

2. Awesome 3G Internet Browsing
3. Giant touchscreen games (especially for kids & family boardgames and stuff)
4. Textbook replacement
5. Interactive video tutorials (like Lynda.com or VTC.com but better)
6. Newspaper replacement
7. Magazine replacement
8. Awesome-sized Video Player
9. Document E-Reader

Games & Text (Docs/News) is what I see it primarily being oriented as. 9.7" with a 3G option & Wifi. I don't know how they'll do a stand though.

I can't wait to see this thing. If the price is reasonable I'd buy one (or two) to have around the house as web devices for reading the news and such.
