With thanks to Jello Biafra (from the DK's; if you do not know who the DK's are, do an internet search), and an office co-worker:

We've Got an EVEN Bigger Problem Now---

"George Bush Junior Über Alles"

I am Governor George W. Bush
A free election We will totally smush
Soon I will be pres-i-dent

Clinton power will soon go away
I will be Fuhrer (Alfred E Nueman) one day
My advisors will command all of you
Corporate greed will completely rule

George Bush Junior Über Alles
Über Alles George Bush Junior
George Bush Junior Über Alles
Über Alles George Bush Junior

My father's cronies and I will control you
Even though you didn't vote for me
I will dumb down the master race
And turn this country into a complete disgrace

Close your eyes, Can't happen here
Big Bro' on white horse is near
The Bushes won't come back you say
Flee the country or you will pay
Flee the country or you will pay!

George Bush Junior Über Alles
Über Alles George Bush Junior

Now it is 2004
Knock knock at your front door
Palm Beach Election secret police
They have come for your Democrat niece
Come quietly to the camp
You'd look nice as a drawstring lamp

Don't you worry, it's a new booth for you voters
For your clothes here's a pretty flower
Die! On Rush's poison gas
J Baker's plan already hatched
Your vote doesn't really count
So, don't mess with President Bush

George Bush Junior Über Alles
Über Alles George Bush Junior

Yakko: This song was orginally done for Gov Brown, then for Reagan, then for Bush...
There is a version done for Reagan by a black rap group...is that the one to which you are referring?

Great, Jello Biafra. A good musician, but unbelievably ignorant political views. He makes Nader look like the CEO of an oil company ;)

I am talking about the one done by The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprsiy. I was actually aimed at California Gov. Pete Wilson. Hiphoprisy is Michael Franti and Rono Tse. Michael Franti is also the front man for Spearhead. The album is called Hypocrisy is the Greatest Luxury. Very political album that I would say is mostly rap but has other styles mixed in.

Edit forgot to put in the lyrics.

California Uber Alles By Hiphoprisy

California Uber Alles
California above all others

I'm your governor Pete Wilson ya know
the baddest governor to ever
grab the mic and go
BOOM!
Gimme a budget and watch me hack it!
Gimme a beat and I'll show you how to jack it!

I give the rich a giant tax loophole
I leave the poor livin' in a poophle

At a time when aids is in a crisis
I cut health care and I raise prices

Sales tax, snack tax, excise tax
Information attack with a newspaper tax
Hit the pocketbooks of working families
Increase tuition at the universities

One day I'll command all'a you
even your kids are gonna pray to me in school

Soon I'm gonna be president
You might remember the last one this state sent

California Uber Alles
California above all others
California Uber Alles

I'm so proud to know
The "Great Communicator"
Wanna be known as
The "Great Incarecrator"

I'll blow the environmentalists away
And I'll be the fuhrer some day

I'll keep cuttin
Public education
Even though we rank 45th in the nation

I've got a plan for the minorities
Send'em to the California Youth Authorities

From San Francisco Urban Elementary
To Pelican Bay State Penitentiary

There they can work for the master race
And always wear a happy face

Close your eyes it can't happen here
Big Brother in a squad car's comin' near

Come enjoy the surf and sun
Keep California number one!

California Uber Alles
California above all others

Now it's 1992
Knock knock at your front door hey guess who?
It's the suede denim secret police
They've come to your house for your long haired niece

Gonna take her off to camp
'Cause she's ben accused of growing hemp

Don't you worry it's only a shower
And now for your clothes here's a pretty flower
Gonna die on malathion gas
The serpant's egg has already been hatched

People starvin' and livin' in the streets
Because they tried to mess with President Pete

California Uber Alles
California above all others

I don't agree with comparing politicians with Nazis. The Nazi's actions were one of the greatest evils faced in modern history, and many, many people died to fight it.

Using the same term to desicribe modern politicians simply because someone disagrees with them doesn't ring right with me.
Feels like it reduces the awareness of evil we should have toward facism. I know that if someone called me a Nazi for any reason It would be terrible. No one would ever want to be compared to that.

I also feel like it cheapens what our soldiers and countrymen died to defend the world against.

:(

Sorry, but thats my opinion.

Optimus: Then I assume you are just as offended when Rush calls women activists "FemiNazis".

I do not know about you personally, but I am sick of people like Rush who use such terminology, then act insulted when they are called the same names.

And the song is not meant to call any one group "Nazis"; just GW and his dad's cronies.

I have a book in which mankind has had a big nuclear war, NADER dies, but then they make a god out of him, and his beliefs become the grounds for the major political party that rules in the book for the next thousand years. . .

Indeed I am - its not right, period. No matter who does it. I wouldn't call anyone that, unless they really were/are one, literally.

<< And the song is not meant to call any one group "Nazis"; just GW and his dad's cronies. >>

I realize that, but it calls them that because of their political views, which others share - including some who lived through WWII. I wonder how a veteran who supports Bush would feel if someone called Bush a Nazi in front of him?

I'm Typing - I'm not attacking this thread or those in it, I'm just saying that I don't think calling different politics "facism" is right. On the radio this morning, the DJs were talking about how 2 of our political leaders probably stand in front of a mirror comparing mustaches and practicing thier goose-stepping. This was in between songs on a top forty station.

That is not right.
