Easiest way to do this (provided someone is home most of the time) is to put him in the yard/walk him every hour or so whether he needs to "go" or not. Praise him if he does go while you're outside (taking him to the same spot each time helps too thanks to the "interesting" smellsWe just need to housebreak him.

Crate training is affective too. You keep him there while your gone (if not toooo long) and at night, because they usually don't poop where they sleep.
