I hate the AIM thinge of logging on in multiple places... any way to disable that.

well as it turns out.. that's causing some issues.. in this case someone is immitating her.

So far we know: The person knows Armenian, can swear and knows vanessa password to her AIM.

I was chatting with her and then all of a sudden the font changes on her response and then it changes back to her regular font.. i got irritated, it showed a totally different person and then i realised it wasnt vanessa.. this was someone else.. so i called her..

sure enough she didnt know what was going on..s he changed her password but when she logged on the system said "there are 2 users logged in" this with the new password.

Now her best friend messages her saying why have you been callling be bad names in armenian.. and vanessa wasnt doing that..someone else is.. This was after she changed the password and logged back in..

We dont know who it is or where he or she is from// Any idea how we can kick the 2nd user off.. and then change the password.

Now it seems like there is only one user..

The thing is that the other user is not smart... it took me a few seconds to figure out it wasnt my vanessa talking to me.

Maybe someone is using her system?

Run an antivirus with updates
adaware
regsupreme

Change password, don't sign onto account for a few hours, see if she is still signed on, visible from your computer

Go back to a previous version that does not support multiple log-ons of the same name.

Does that really disable that function? If the other guy still has the newer version and the password then can't he still log on at the same time?

Why doesn't she just change her password and if it comes down to it, change aim names?

no somebody was using her id from elsewhere.. cause after she changed her password and logged back in, it said your user id is logged in 2 locations... evidently the other person was still loggedin.. im not sure if AIM automatically kicked the person off for a password mismatch..

I never liked the multiple location thinge of AIM.. i guess we got to complain and have them either allow us to disable or let us know what IP is logging in at (or profile - like your logged in at 3 locations home, work, unknown (4.2.2.2)).

she changed the password and so far it looks good.

The scary part this person knows armenian and was cursing her friends on her buddy list.. since she cant see what he is typing the recepient was only seeing it.

I would kill the person or person(s) doing this.. I hated the multiple log on the day it showed up.. and this is its first strike against it.. i will so complain to AOL.
