That's why the stats supposedly were down. They were simply checking for sure. Unfortunately, the block containing the key was double-crunched and may have been erroneously assigned to /., so the DPC have asked for a recount. In fact, the issue is so contentious that the DPC may go to court and ask that the block be crunched again. Already there are demonstrations in the streets in Amsterdam, particularly in the red-light district, where the DPC there say that the confusing dnet instructions have disenfranchised them and caused the double-crunching, with the resulting disqualification of 19,000 DPC blocks. It was following this disqualification that the key was reintroduced into circulation, only to be found shortly later by us. To add to the confusion, CNN announced and retracted 3 times within one evening that Team AnandTech had passed /., causing some west-coast /. members to temporarily stop crunching.

Stay tuned for an analysis by the ever gorgeous Greta van Susteren, who has been recently accused of a pro-Dutch bias.
