Too many A/C units on?

Looks like we had a minipower outage in Ottawa. My computer reset itself and so did my digital TV box. Felt more like a lowering of current than a full outage as my monitor stayed on and so did my kitchen light. Or maybe it was just my own apartment circuit that was not up too snuff (even though it handles the exact same stuff all year long).

Weird thing is I lost some cookies but not all. 😕

also, the 20003 power outage was the coolest thing ever. looking across the river and seeing NYC completely pitch black on the other side was something I'll never forget.

That's what I thought. And no UPS indeed. Those things are expensive. All I have is an APC Surge Arrest.

They're on sale all the time! I have extra 750VA UPS sitting around...just in case.
