You do realize that Canada starts with a C,.. as does Communism!

Also, OP, stop pushing the liberal propaganda that socialized medicine isn't as big a problem as we've been told it is.

And Canuckastan too. we are taking like a quarter million 3rd world immigrants a year. I don't even recognize parts of this country anymore. our democracy is being hijiacked with the willingness of our political so-called leaders.

Maybe the OP was bartering with Fish. This works well with the 3rd world doctors we are importing, don't let your women near them though. India rape culture is alive and strong in Canada.

That's exactly what every 3rd world immigrant wants us to do and that is what we have been doing. But inside a generation, we are losing our country, our 1st world culture to a bunch of cave men and 3rd world Indians that deficate in public parks. We need a revolution, the backlash is starting right now in Europe... pleeease come here please.

No, seriously, stop with the stupidity. You're making a fool of yourself.

Did I call you a liar? Did I even imply that you were a liar? That would be no to both.

And the only one flinging turds appears to be you.

One of these days, though, I suggest heading to a library and doing a few hours research on how our health insurance and medical system actually work. You might learn something.

Have a nice day.

Why would you suggest a library?

I'm just tired of debating with Americans who don't know anything about Canada's health care and health insurance systems but seem to think that they do. Gotten into too many debates that just turn into some random American(s) lecturing me on what a mess our health care/health insurance systems are. Kinda like what you seemed to be doing with that article.

Hell, most Americans don't seem to be able to understand that Canada's health care system is *not* a "socialized" health care system.

Again, if you really want to learn about how that stuff works up here, go to a library and do some serious research. You might be surprised what you discover. I actually have a list of some decent primary sources (from some old research of my own) buried away somewhere at home. If I have the time I'm willing to see if I can find it and suggest a few titles if you want.

You don't debate, at least not what anyone else would consider a debate. You want me to go to the library and spend hours studying the system you live under but apparently cant even find one article to dispute my one claim about it? I guess I would be tired of "debating" too because it seems all you do is get your ass handed to you.

I even offered to start your research off and all you can do is throw an insult? Fine, you've pretty much made my point for me. Feel good?

Here's a great place to educate yourself on the wait times in Canada. Though it does back up the link Matt posted earlier.

http://www.waittimealliance.ca/wta-reports/

They're a pretty good group who, in my experience, tend to do good research. Their work both does and doesn't back up the earlier info. That makes more sense once you read their reports and recommendations.

Big difference from the think tank that the news article relied on. The alliance wants to improve the present system while the Fraser Institute wants to end it and move to a system like the American health care/ health insurance system.

If i were to move to another nation then Canada would be where i would move, it's a nation i enjoy visiting.

In the US or Russia they are trying to get the most amount of money they can from you, a cab fare in the US can be a LOT more expensive if you are a foreigner, same for Russia. It's not nations i'd ever want to live in. Same minds, different nations.

Google is a much better alternative if you know how to discern between actual information and targeted propaganda.

Sorry, Google can in no way compare to the resources of a good library: books, journals, indexes, full and free access to thousands of newspapers and magazines and their indexes, trained reference librarians, access to hundreds of databases on every subject imaginable, abstracts for all disciplines, the ability to get access to books from all over the world through inter library loans services, and, of course, free access to on-line resources including Google. All that and a lot more plus it's free (yeah, yeah, I know, taxes).

Sorry, what you can do with Google barely scratches the surface of what/how you can research.

You are 50 years behind the times, I can fit a library onto thumb stick.

And you are going to get that library where?

Edit: and, get serious. No you're not going to fit a whole library's worth of books onto a thumb drive. It's 2014 not 4014.

You can download torrents with thousands of the best texts ever created all with a click or two and yeah you can't fit every book ever created onto one thumb drive but 99% of books are irrelevant or plain garbage. I have one download that is fiction about 12000 books, collected works of Eco, C Clark, King... like every fiction author I ever head of and 10,000 others that I haven't heard of, I think it's about 12 gigs.

We had an expansion to our uptown library here in winnipeg and I was walking through it like 10 years ago thinking, what a waste of space. And I use to LOVE libraries, constantly with over 10 books out and paying late fees like crazy. I used to have about 500 books, half of them hard covers, mostly non-fiction, loved books and book stores but the last time I walked through a chapters to get to a theatre... waste of space. I read on my computer now. I strip the DRM and copy/paste to a 2nd monitor what I like.

Nice story. Does it have a point?

"As of March 31, 2011, UBC Library's collection comprised nearly six million volumes, more than 875,000 e-books, more than 5.3 million microforms and more than 883,000 maps, videos and other multimedia materials"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_British_Columbia_Library

Stick that on a thumb drive.

Do you understand the concept of research? I'll give you a hint. It involves a hell of a lot more than downloading a copy of a Stephen King novel.

So you just dropped in to show what an ignorant ass you are? Cool.

Good luck supporting your claim that it's me who has demonstrated any ignorance in this thread, even with the help of your local library.

It doesn't appear that you have much knowledge about our health care and health insurance systems...

Maybe take the time to educate yourself a bit?

And the only one flinging turds appears to be you.

One of these days, though, I suggest heading to a library and doing a few hours research on how our health insurance and medical system actually work.

Where is my ignorance?

Why would a library be superior to the internet when it comes to informing yourself about canada's health care system? All the important features could easily be located on your phone while taking a shit. stupidhead.

You are just flat out ignorant about the resources at your fingertips.

You are 50 years behind the times, I can fit a library onto thumb stick.

This. What may have taken hours and hours of painstaking searching in a library can now be accomplished in mere seconds on the net. Get with the times pal.

EDIT* And BTW, I do go to the library quite often. Funny thing is, when I go there, most people are...........wait for it...........ON THE COMPUTER!!!!
