Trading Rules:
http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2480
Trading Rules:
- You MUST display your profile with a valid email address.
- You MUST post a SINGLE PRICE for ALL FS deals and FS/FT deals. Trading for cash is still selling. As a seller, you may not post different prices for different methods of payment. No cash discounts or other excuses to pass electronic fees onto the buyer.
- We allow payment by check, M.O., Paypal, Google wallet, Amex serve and cash, if anyone wants to actually send cash.
- You may not sell something you do not have in your immediate possession.
- You may not call your item or sell it as "warrantied by the manufacturer" unless that manufacturer specifically allows it to be transferred. Most companies only extend warranty coverage to the ORIGINAL purchaser.
- If you ask for a dead part with the intent to defraud a company or individual, you will be banned immediately.
- No bootleg software distribution. Anyone who knowingly buys, sells, trades, or distributes bootlegged (warez) software
- through this forum will be suspended or permanently banned at our discretion.
- No sales or trades of Academic or NFR (Not For Resale / Retail distribution) software. If you are caught selling or trading this type of software you will be suspended or permanently banned at our discretion.
- The sale of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) copies of activated software must include an appropriate piece of hardware to keep the sale legit. If you are unsure what is appropriate, please review Microsofts Website on OEM Licensing. Sales of unactivated copies must comply with Microsoft Rules on OEM Licensing.
- Sales of hardware with installed software must include original installation disks.
- No sales of individual software installation components, i.e. media, license key and/or COA (Certificate Of Authenticity), if required. You must sell the software as it was originally packaged.
- No sales of "CD/DVD keys" without the original CD/DVD.
- No sales of "trial" or "beta" keys.
- No sales or trades of game accounts (Steam, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, etc.) if prohibited by the manufacturer's terms of service.
- No SPAM, NEF'ing, or TROLLing.
- No multi-level marketing schemes.
- No auction style posts (best offer, make an offer, etc.). This includes links to items listed on auction sites (ebay, etc.) and links to eBay users' "MyWorld" pages which would show auctions if they were present at the time.
- No price checks. These are often used as pretext to solicit auction style bids.
- No links, referrals or offers to complete sales through "Cash Back" promotions such as those currently offered through ebay.
- No links to lists of items offered for sale, trade, etc. on other sites. Please list your items in your thread.
- No solicitations for loans of cash or credit (paypal, etc.)
- No misleading thread titles. (nude pics, goats, etc.)
- No price or interest checks. (for those that want to bend the rules)
- No excessive bumping of your own thread. No more than once every 4 hours. NOTE that this includes responding to other users' questions in your thread, as this also causes your thread to be bumped and unfairly pushes other threads down. Responses to other users sooner than 4 hours should be made by pm or email or by editing the original post.
- No "contest or giveaway" threads.
- No coupon or coupon code sales. Sales of gift certificates are allowed.
- No alcohol, tobacco, firearm, or any weapons sales.
- No "Group Buys." If you do not own it, you can't sell or trade it.
- No "services" allowed. (ex. I can build xxx for you @ xxx each)
- No Pornographic (XXX) items.
- No DSS/DirecTV (H & HU) or DISH Network (S, Rom, etc.) cards, except when the card is a standard part of a complete, legal receiver system. This also includes hardware & software for enabling DSS/DISH emulation, which is not legal in the U.S.
- No "dealers" or vendors of any kind. If you acquire items in quantity (bulk sales) with the intent of offering them for resale, here, you are a dealer under this rule. In addition, you may not place URL's in your posts, profile or signature that link to an offsite FS/T list.
- Please Note: PayPal's terms of service now prohibit charging buyers a "service fee" or "service charge." It is also against PayPal's terms of service to send a personal or gift payment for merchandise. This is also bad, because if something were to happen, NEITHER party has any recourse through PayPal should a dispute arise.
