Awesome. Just think some day they won't even need the human part of it.... oh wait.

The interesting part of this technology is the human component. Making a robotic arm is pretty easy, controlling it with nerve impulses is the hard part. Setting it up in such a way that two can be controlled at the same time is even quite a bit harder than that.

When I saw the bit where he's controlling the arm on the stand wirelessly, first thought was Real Steel :D

Not to be rude, but how do you get a belly like that if you can't put food in your mouth?

I know. I was just joking around. That some day the robots won't even need us for that and they can get rid of us.

Yeah, but being a killjoy is fun, so...

That day may come, but we will probably have nerve-controlled exosuits (i.e. space marines) before we have a general purpose AI that's on par with a typical human mind. I realize that's a low bar to set, but intelligence is really hard to program.

Our capacity to rebuild or replace the human body is increasing with every decade.

 Medical science rocks.
