Prodigy, what if I changed your OS from the one you know how to use to a totally different one. Your computer still functions, but it is functioning in a way you have never seen it before. Your understanding of computers must be diminished to learn how to use the new OS. New things bring change and change brings new thoughts and new thoughts give different understandings and since change is permanent, understandings are temporary.
