I guess, someone joined, who wasn't part of a team before.
They only did 700k, compared to TA's 1,5M.

Peter.

It is indeed interesting, only they will never be able to keep up with us.

Might be an interesting option, trying to make contact with some non-team affiliate and then suggesting to join TA. Nah, it is a nice idea, but almost impossible to do without stepping on someones' toes. 😛

Peter.

Heh. The Slashdot Effect can be very powerful (I've been part of it pretty much since the start 🙂 ). If they mention RC5 even once on the front page, they could easily get a good number of new members. It'd be kind of funny if we advertised on /. though 🙂

This reminds me of a time, about a year ago, when I made a "dennilfloss-like" recruiting pitch to someone known as Mycroft. He was a lone cracking machine. His response to my e-mail was basically, "Thanks, JonB, for reminding me to join a team. I'm joining /." Ouch. Anyway, Mycroft and I still e-mailed for months, but I became much more cautious in my recruiting efforts after that.

Nooooooooooo! we will get them tomorrow 😉

If anyone misses it, send me an email and I will send you a screen shot. Or if anyone would host it again send me an email 😉

Hehe, good ol' Slashdot, they don't give up until the last second possible.🙂
