It looks like the weather is going to remind me about what we are in store for soon.

We are supposed to get lake-effect snowsqualls off Lake Huron this afternoon.

We got five inches on Friday ... glorious. It’s rare this early here but happens. Leaves aren’t even half down so now I have a mess to clean up, but worth it.

We've had snow on the ground for a week or so now. Snowing more now.

A little "early" if you go by global warming standards, but about on time if I go back to what I remember from my childhood. Used to always have snow by Halloween.

Highway is still down to the pavement though.

Thankfully, we rarely get measurable snow here. We DID get about 4" of the nasty stuff early last year.

Apparently it was the first actual snow on the beach in 20 years.

We had a squall come through a half hour ago and it looked like a blizzard.

Things are calm now but windy and cold. It's 0C and feels like -8C.

Woah I just went to my truck, crazy blizzard out there. Not that much snow but lot of wind. I figured as I could hear the bursts hit the building sometimes. Lots of power outages in the area too. Got a couple power bumps here. The reclosers are getting exercised today. :p

Yeah, got snow yesterday, just in time for Halloween. Still some on the ground, or there was before nightfall. It's raining now, probably (hopefully) all going to wash away. I want to go to the grocery store tomorrow, and don't want to have to scrape off my car.

All i know is i will like this winter than the last winter...cataracts and no grips on your winter boots was probably the scariest time of my life

There is a huge system affecting most of Ontario.

They now say we may get between 5 and 15 cm of snow tonight.

I go for blood work tomorrow. That should be fun.

We had 8+ inches of snow in Minneapolis about 10 days ago. Not much accumulation on the roads though, as the pavement was still warm.
Now we are switching back to a warm pattern with temps in the 60s next week.

Quebec was starting to get hit too just as I was leaving work. Kinda glad I'm done for next 2 days, but what sucks is I have to get up early tomorrow for an appointment and deal with clearing the snow off the truck again. It's basically going to be like getting ready for a work day.

I've thought of getting one of those tent shelters for the driveway but city taxes that extra now. It's ridiculous. I'm not giving them a penny more the taxes are already too damn high. It would save so much time in the morning though.

We got about 3-4" on Friday and now it's all gone. I guess I can get back to mowing the lawn!

That looks interesting actually. I need to try to find a place in Canada that sells something like that.

Feared frost last night but am happy to know that tomato and pepper season will go on. Love a fresh picked tomato on the frying pan with breakfast eggs. After 20 years in 120 inch a year snow country I don't miss it.

I had it, it was a pain to deal with. It's just a nylon cover for your windshield. Some were magnetic but the magnets were not strong enough so it will just fly off. I ended up closing the door on it to make it stay, but that is tricky if there is any wind.

It was 88 F here yesterday but it's going to be a nippy 81 today so I totally feel your pain.
