Oh, and maybe some of you can read this.

TOTAL CLAIMS THAT THE FARM HAD TO PAY

$100,000 - Structure - Hurricane
$100,000 - Contents - Hurricane
$50,000 - ALE - Hurricane

We had a generator that got stolen. That's a sepreate event.

We had property in my car that got wrecked when I crashed into a utility pole. That's a subrogation thing.

I had PIP coverage on both my cars, state farm has paid about $8500 on each of my car wrecks in medical bills and they've paid property damage on the collision.

Where are you guys getting this whacked out chainsaw windshield bullshit?

Have your house get hit by a hurricane and we'll see how long the numbers take to get into the 6 digit range.

Also, I did some other math.

Progressive totalled my car. $1300
State Farm totatlled my car. $1800
Progressive paid my injury: $3000
State Farm paid my injury: $8500
State Farm paid my OTHER injury: $8500
Geico totalled my car: $4500
EMASCO totalled my dads car: $3300

By my math, just by existing, my family has cost insurers something like $300,000 over the past 3 years.

Thats messed up.

Thats about $271,000 that State Farm has had to eat over the past 3 years. I'd say thats par for the course.

Par for the course? Maybe if you're a rock star that drives Rolls Royces into swimming pools for fun.

Consider this. Insurance companies are in it to make a profit. Have you paid them $271,000 over the past 3 years? No. You're a bad customer.

Insurers do not make money on the short term, like the past 3 years. They make money on the 25 years that you don't make a claim vs the 3 that you do.

They make money on float, and underwriting margins. If they take in $2k in premiums from you over one year and you don't make a claim, theres some serious float going on.

And over the course of 3 years, you've cost them every dime they've taken from FORTY-TWO customers - not counting operating expenses. So more like SIXTY customers. You're a liability. Believe me, if I knew who the hell you are, I'd have handed it to the guy that posted right above you two or three times already, because you're a HUGE part of the reason that I have to work my ass off only to cut a big, fat check for renter's and car insurance that totals an OBSCENE amount of my income.

If my apartment burned - and then I replaced everything, and it burned again, and my car were stolen and stripped and then I bought one three times as expensive and the same thing happened to that one, I wouldn't even manage to cost them $250,000. And I have a very, very, VERY strong feeling that I'm WAY older than your spoiled brat ass.

"Oh, I'm PAB, I resold Dell by bulk-buying with coupons on my daddy's Amex and made a gazillion dollars!" Good for you, you annoying little ******. You're abusive to your parents - it doesn't matter if they treat you like ******. GET AWAY FROM THEM. You're old enough. Or so you say. I mean, I'm sure you have some of that gazillion dollars left. Then again, I should revise that statement. You probably DON'T have any of that money left, because you're an irresponsible little prick who managed to wreck a car within DAYS of getting it. And you were proud of buying a Neon. A fvcking USED Neon. Are you SURE you made money on your Dell sh!t? Because Dell has LCDs worth more than a fvcking Neon. And you, PERSONALLY, according to this thread, have TOTALLED *THREE* cars in as many years. How do you still have a driver's license? The citations issued on those accident scenes simply NEED TO total more points than are neccessary to revoke your license. Or did you get the lazy cops who didn't bother to cite you for your stupid "errors"?

I think you may be the only currently active poster more annoying and disliked than myself. I have a girlfriend. I love posting about it. There's no shortage of drama in my life. I love posting about that, too. But you take that same concept and amplify it it by a factor of 5478984384385489243 by blatantly ignoring logic and fact and not admitting that you're just being a little emo cuntflap.

In short, there's only room for one of us on this forum, and I swear to Skoorb that I'm not going to yield to such a degenerate, drain-on-society worthless bag of flesh as you.

It's about priorities. The neon that I bought is going to make me $2k. A dell LCD is going to make me what..$200 on a good day?

It's all about big numbers. Float on 20 years worth of premiums is exactly what their business is based on.

Hurricane tears the roof off, I'm not crying cause big red has to cut 6 figures.

If someone PM's me the details on who this is, I am a State Farm agent and will make sure the claims department is notified..... I can only see the person is Crazy Andy for the UAE??? Thanks!

Ok, maybe you can help me out.

Why is it that SF markets a policy as replacment cost, when in actuality the policy pays MARKET VALUE or ACV or whatever you guys want to call it on damaged property, and then has an additional rider on the back end to subisidze replacement.

I don't call that replacement cost at all. How does SF get away with calling it like that, and what are your thoughts?

I don't know what state you live in and insurance is state regulated (policies differ from state to state). Based on you mentioning hurricanes & PIP (no-fault) auto claims, I'm assuming you live in Florida (same as me)?

In FL the policies are the way they are because the Dept of Financial Svcs & Gallagher... who you can vote against this year (running agains Crist).

You get replacement cost on your policy when you replace an item. If you choose not to replace an item, you get the cash value. Do you have any ideas how many delapedated neighborhoods were left when people cashed out during the hurricane Andrew gravy train in 1992?

Did you not replace / repair said items to receive full replacement cost? The insurance industry is setup to indemnify people (get you back to where you were), not for people to profit or cover their hurricane deductible with the margins / deals they can find.

That's great. Because what happens when you have people who don't have the money to replace the items they lost?

SF refuses to pay for the replacement cost of the item, instructs the insured to replace the item, and when the insured can't replace the item because they're broke - its the insured's fault. Thats great marketing.

What happens when you have truly irreplaceable merchandise?

This isn't about a hurricane tearing the roof off - that ****** happens, and I don't care about that. It's about you being a worthless piece of ******.

And that neon was going to make you $2k. UNTIL YOU ****** DROVE IT INTO A ****** TELEPHONE POLE. Good job.

BTW, one of my friends discovered something in a car accident recently. Insurance co paid him more for his totalled car than he could have possibly sold it for. So go buy beaters, buy some comprehensive coverage, and drive them into poles, and stick it to the man!!!! You're the perfect example of human detritus.

I suppose that in the great big book of eyemwing, you would have crashed into the 76 year old with a cardiac condition just to make a point.

The alternative was the telephone pole.

And if you think I even CONSIDERED crashing into the old man, you're ****** in the head. If you can avoid a crash, avoid it - is the way I was taught.

You're an ASShole - capital A, capital S, capital other S. Someone needs to give you an asskicking of a lifetime. I'd love to stick my boot so far up your ass you can taste toenail.

When faced with the choice of hitting a telephone pole, or hitting a car, you hit the car - it's safer. The car is the larger target, which will spread the crash energy over a greater area, causing less apparent forces, plus the fact that it's a movable object, plus the fact that you're not risking live power lines falling on your accident. We were taught this in driver's ed.

And yes, I'm an asshole. (Did you miss my sig?) And so are you. But I'm an asshole that can ****** learn. Time and time again, you make the same arguments with the same logical fallacies - the way things really work be DAMNED. The world is about PAB, all hail PAB - buyer and seller of LCDs, cars, and nuclear arsenals.

Car head on or graze the utility pole? Hmmm.

How's the view from back there in the cheap seats?

Eh, I dont remember any discussion about what to hit in my driver's ed (not saying you're wrong or anything), but I would've thought most anything but a moving car would be better. Moving car means theres a person in it which in this day seems like you could get sued for a bunch of BS. Unless you were moving pretty slowly to where it justs a bump but even then, who knows, some asshole looking to leech (someone like PAB) could still screw ya.

There are however, certainly many legitmate claims made where drivers have truly been injured and can't work, etc. So I'm not saying all settlements are unjustified.

It's really remarkable they haven't canceled your policies. I thought I was bad when USAA had to pay me about $25K in comprehensive claims in about a year (my car was first vandalized, then stolen).

You'd be surprised how reliable the bullshit detectors on this forum are. '99 Neon vs. Mack truck. Whole front end smashed in. $3500 to fix. Any car worth reselling is going to be worth more than that.

They total it when you hit 80%.

On a dodge, that's not very hard.

Hey, I have an idea. Instead of going back and forth beating your chests, post a picture of the damn car after you 'grazed' the pole.

Back off, he's my kill. I can go on like this for DAYS without even getting really annoyed. But knowing PhyschoAndy's Brother here, he'll get frustrated and cry and come break my windshield and give me plenty of justification to put a bullet through his forehead in self-defense.

Hell, that brings up another interesting point. Why the hell are you PAB? Do you really have no identity of your own, that you have to associate yourself with your brother to be anybody?

And 80% to total a car worth $8500 (which was your above cited insurance payout) is $6800. It takes a LOT more than "grazing" a pole to do $6800 in damage to a car like a Neon.
