Money Managers are not getting the results they want,... so, just ask the government to give them the difference!!!

Bush / Obama are determined to give it to them. Good thing the country voted for 'change'. Free money for wall-street. Party runs out and they've spent it all, MORE money for wall-street ad infinitum.

Who makes the Best Cpu and gpus in the World? USA. We need to make all the components that go into PCs Screw China . We need to BUY american . Befor this BS world economy America was driven by American consumers. It can still be that way . These corporations have to be broken up into companies . American companies Don't need to sell outside the US . If we boycotted Chinas products . There system would collapse . Better them than US.

We need this system to collapse so we get a fresh start . America for Americans . I don't want to be part of a 1 world economy . Because it would be complete loss of freedom .

Just to be clear, Dave originally predicted $5 gas by Christmas of 2007, and then many more times after that. I guess if he keeps moving his timeline he'll eventually "be right"

Huh. I found caspur's post fairly amusing. Doesn't anybody around here have a sense of humor?

This is not correct. Time is not a static measurement. It seems that way because the units of time are not used in all cases. So 6:05AM of Jun 1, 2011 is not the same as 6:05AM of May 31. You simply say in conversation the time is 6:05, but leave out the full units of measurement.

The motion of an active clock moving forward, relative to time itself, gives definition to the units of time. Therefore a broken clock is never right, because is remains stuck at the time that it was broken. By expanding the units of measurement, we can say the clock displays 6:05AM on the day it was broken. This is not representative of every 6:05AM.

You must be great with chicks...

The best part is that if gas hits $5 / gallon in the next few years he's going to run around screaming "I told you so." It's like me saying that an earthquake will strike LA in the next thirty years.

A) It's a figure of speech.

B) Please tell me what time this clock reads.

OnTime-analog2.png

I am not stupid.

It is a figure of speech that is based on flawed information.

There are 24 hours in a day.

The AM/PM system is a conversion.

I can not tell, there are not enough hours on it.

I am being flip.

Please take this issue more seriously.

I don't feel like I am doing my job correctly unless a mod forms outside my window.

I sometimes turn on NBC Nightly News while I'm cooking dinner just to see what the MSM is preaching to the Sheeple. We are 18 minutes into tonight's show and so far NOT ONE mention of today's economic news!!!

The MSM supports Obama not just in how they report the news but also how they don't report it. But I think the average American doesn't need NBC to tell them the Titanic is just about sunk.

It will be called the Great Dave Depression because everyone says it's my fault.

I could join everyone else by pointing out that you haven't predicted anything correctly but I think it's more interesting to get your predictions on what happens next. Great oracle of P&N, can you please share your predictions for the next year? Please be specific as possible with specific numbers if you can.

According to him if some prick gas station owner charges $5 for a joke then "gas hit did hit $5".

I see his posts and know that he's a man with an extremely low self-esteem, the result of failing multiple times in life in multiple areas. It would be easy to be sympathetic to him except he acts like such an ahole, which makes that much harder.

The news is bad lately. Some of us have seen this "recovery" and wondered when it would stall. I still do. Maybe this is that stall happening. Or not. The government is clearly willing to print whatever it can to stave things off and kick the can.

Oh, now it's premium gas? Your yardstick changes more often than the weather.

edit:

The Department of Energy says you're still wrong. No surprise there.

www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/international/gas1.xls

You'll have to excuse Dave -- he is probably confusing the price of balsamic vinegar with gas. He could check the receipt, but I'm sure they confiscated it when he was forced to fill out the form to buy it.

I was spot on the $5

Paid that here in Chicago and still paying $4.54 today

So it didn't hit it by you, lucky you.

Got a receipt showing $5 for regular unleaded gasoline (no full service bullshit)?

I wouldn't go that far. Great depression was pretty bad and we have more assets/wealth than then. We will restructure tho as SHTF.

Every year they will print more money and make this worse. This WAS going to a depression, now it'll be far worse and if the keep printing a full blown economic collapse.

our current residential real estate situation is an amazing mis-allocation of resources. built all those homes, people can't afford them, people move out, homes sit empty.

therefore we need creative thinking.

women take off your clothes. Men, leave your clothes on.

oh, i got distracted there. "creative thinking" got me thinking.

back to the Mortgage mess -

empty homes + unemployed people = just give them government play money to pay the rent, plus the keys. they send in the government play money and live in the empty homes.

a little survival training with Seal Team 6, learning to survive on earthworms, pigeons, and dandelions, and they'll be set for life.

The whole world needs a default. The money printing and treasury buying is about to end sometime this month. Yet everyone expects the Fed to once again start up its ass to mouth quantitative easing. Then watch the fucking commodities inflate at a blistering pace. On your marks, get ready, set, ...just waiting for the gun. $5 dollar gas by August, shit even the rubes will be buying oil to discount a way to getting to their slave wage jobs.

I thought all the government stimulus was supposed to create millions and millions of jobs? Thats what we were all told . . . well, there was some fluctuation in the numbers depending on who was talking and on which channel.
