it's called the "asian flush" and you're right about the enzyme thing. I feel "ill" and uncomfortable before I feel drunk or buzzed. No big loss IMO though... I don't mind not having to spend money on alcohol. And I like keeping control of myself. (now where's that pic on bbzzdd of the dude asleep with both his hands down his pants?)

I'm half-chinese, and one time I got sick from a margarita and I only had a few sips of it. However, that was years ago and I haven't ever gotten sick from alcohol again. (Even when I've been sh!t-faced, I've felt fine)

My dad turns bright red when he drinks. It's funny.

Funny. I'm asian, and I can drink plenty without getting drunk, and I never change colors. Guess I got lucky.

I only get 'sick' if I: 1. mix alcohol 2. have more then 3 drinks 3. drink any amount of cheap alcohol (I think it is because of the higher level ofimpurities).

I only change colors when there's too many people in one space when drinking.
