I have a A8N SLi Delux. I get the following message:
nVidia WDM TV Audio Crossbar service failed to start - the system cannot find the file specified.

I have no idea what file it cannot find what service it is talking about.

I also have a Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS.

Any ideas?

The nVidia WDM TV Audio Crossbar device should only be installed if your video card has a video-in. I would guess that the installer worked incorrectly. Did you use the drivers from Asus or ones you downloaded from nVidia?

If reinstalling drivers doesn't fix the problem, I would disable it in the Device Manager.

The Bios is enabled.
The En6800 Ultra does have a TV Out. I use the latest drivers from nVidia. The one supplied initially by Asus caused a Code 10 error, which is written up widely on many of the bulletin Boards including, I believe, somewhere on Anandtech.

Asus Tech support is not helpful. They just do not have much knowledge of their own products and software.

I would go into the device manager. The nVidia WDM TV Audio Crossbar device will probably show up with a yellow exclamation point. Right click on it and disable it or uninstall it.

Well, that would make it too easy ... it is not even listed so there is nothing to install!
I checked Services, and I cannot find any service that s=refers to Crossbar or WDM.
This is a mystery. Perhaps I should forget about ut because I use the Audigy, but I hate to have errors in the Event Viewer.

Try googling to get more info. I was able to learn a bit that way.

Driver Cleaner might help get rid of it as well.

I have been googling all day and talking to Asus all day and finding out nothing all day.
I guess I am just going to have to eat chocolate and feel good dispite the fact that I cannot figure out what is going on.

My take is that Asus Support leaves something to be desired. I realize that i am a newbee, but as a 65 year old newbee I have been aroiund computers since before the PC and always managed to find somebody that new facts. Right now you are the only one that has been hanging with me on this and I appreciate it. This stuff is complicated.

To make matters worse, I get an error upon booting the computer that there is insufficient power to the outrageously expensive EN6800N Ultra so that it is slowing down the clock. I have an Antec True Power 550 and everything is connected. Asus says that it is either the MB, the Graphics Card, or the power supply. Daaah. I tried reloading all the drivers, I checked the power to the 12 Volt connector under load and it is 12.12 Volts. So it is probably the Graphics Card or MB, and since I have two problems with the MB (the one I have been writing about with you and this one) I am beginning to think that it is the MB. I cannot possibly get a new MB and keep my wife and sanity. LOL

Any ideas?
Al

Problems like yours are pretty hard to diagnose. I have owned 3 Asus boards and they have all been lacking in some way. I also had an Asus video card, but when I installed it and put in the CD driver disc, the installer refused to run as it didn't recognize the card. I realized I didn't want to mess with it and returned it. I don't really believe your power supply is the problem and between the motherboard and the video card, it's a tossup. I would probably return both. There are lots of 6800 Ultras out there, and I think there are better brands. The A8N-SLI is not a bad board, but since it's giving you all these problems, at least get a replacement.
