My system has been crawling lately and after opening up a Windows 7 "Resource Monitor" dialog and selecting the network tab it has become known to me that Western Digitals "WDDriveService.exe" is constantly using the internet(or at the very least the network). For what reason Western Digital wrote a drive utility that needs to be constantly sending and receiving packets over my network is beyond me. I wanna kill this service and delete it from my hard drive forever. Is this possible?
