Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I think it's worth a shot. If not, just send me a PM and I'll take it off.
I have a very rare issue with one of my drive's board. The board will not read properly due to bad sectors, but the machine I try to connect it to will not recognize the drive. I think there might be a problem with the board as well. It will read it via USB to SATA conversion though. And the drive is clicking every once in a while. So it's likely going to be gone pretty soon. I got most of the stuff out of it, but there are some corrupt files due to the kind of dying and working board.
The drive I'm looking for is WD2500JS-55NCB1 with DCM HBBHYTJAHB and board #2060-701335-005 Rev. A. I think if you can find me the same WD2500JS/WD2500YS with the same circuit board and I am likely to be able to find a work around on this. I believe these two models share the same circuit board. Any help would be appreciated. Or someone has a completely scraped drive of the same model, I'm likely be more happy with that circuit board to experiment with
Thanks in advance!
