WD VelociRaptor 500GB

Hey guys, I recently picked up a WD5000HHTZ 500GB when it was on sale and was wondering mounting configurations... According to WD's site it suggests mounting it horizontally .... unfortunately my case only has one sliding bay left and it holds HDDs vertically instead of horizontally.

Is this going to be an issue??? Also, any suggestions on trying to "quiet" down the drive... *wishful thinking

Spinners run fine in either orientation. Different orientation may change the noise level however.

But other than orientation, pretty much wishful thinking regarding quieting the drive.

Only reason I'm using it is because this computer has Vista on it... so not so SSD friendly ...
