WD sending out SLC SSDs for RMA?

The speed will be determined by the controller and number of chips.
As far as I know slc/mlc should be theoretically the same speed.
But you'll get upto 10x the write cycles with slc if I remember what i've read right
 
Yep for home uses MLC is just as fine as SLC (though in theory with the same controller it should be a bit faster, but since everyone uses a different fw for their business drives that's rather theoretical..), but you can congratulate yourself to a drive that costs more than your average PC 😀
