Hello all, I have read a lot of stuff on these forums thats helped me over the years but now I am well and truly stuck! I have a dual boot pc with win xp pro sp3 and win 7 ultimate 32 on it. I prefer using win xp as I have a few programs that dont play well on win 7. I have 2 WD 2 TB Ears green drives which work really well, I just got a WD red 2 TB drive and ran into problems. Basically I used Win 7 to format the drive and I can obviously see it and partition and format it on win 7. I then switched to xp and could not see the drive under Disk Management at all. I then chatted to WD and they said use acronis to align the drive, I explained to them that windows 7 does this already they just repeated what they said. I got hold of acronis and it said the drive was fine and aligned properly and there was nothing to do! They still have not got back to me. I went back into xp, looked at adding new hardware, clicked on that and there was the WD Red drive, this is what I sent to WD, "I then switched to windows XP and although it can see my older 2 terrabyte WD drive it cannot see this one at all. I went to disk management and it does not show. I then went to add hardware and WDC WD 20 EFRX SCSI DISK is shown, this is the WD RED hard disk as far as I can tell. So my problem is that it is shown on my bios and aligned and shown on the drivers for windows XP but does not show in Disk Management or obviously on windows XP explorer. Can you tell me what could be causing this? Could it posibly be windows 7 is only allowing itself to see the hard disk and not XP but I can see the driver?" SO, you guys are my last best hope lol, what am I doing wrong? I
