WD Raptor HDDs

This is for all of you who own WD Raptors.

You know how they have both a SATA power cable AND a 4-pin molex power connector...
do you need both plugged in or just the SATA?

Thanks in advance.

THanks. I wanted to put them into a hot-swap enclosure and didn't know if they would be compatible if the molex needed to be plugged in.

If you put it into a hot swap enclosure, the enclosure is going to provide the power to the drive. You provide power to the enclosure. Therefore, the question is quite moot.

The enclosure has only a SATA power connector. I was just checking to see if Raptors needed their 4-pin molex power connectors plugged in b/c if they did, the enclosure would not be compatible.
