WD Raptor HD crashed - data recovery?

My WD Raptor HD has my OS on it. It won't boot up, appears to be seriously hosed. I installed the OS on my second HD, made it the boot drive. While both OS show up in the bios the crashed drive does not show up when I boot up in the other HD. Is there any software I can get to recover the data from the crashed drive? My OS is Windows 7.

This should be a lesson to you to not store data on the os drive. If the drive has gone bad software cannot overcome a hardware failure and will not recover it. You should also back up your data regularly to prevent loss.

Sorry. I meant both HDs show up in the bios. After installing windows 7 on my back-up hd, I tried to access the other HD. It does not show up either in the list of available drives or in device manager.

Well, if it's not showing up in Drive Management then you can't even run the manufacturers diags on it for an error code from your now boot drive. It may be hosed. In the future, only keep data on your boot drive you can afford to lose, and back up your data drive regularly. Come to think of it, I need to do that right now...
