How do I get XP to format and partation my WD Raptor 74 gig drive?

Bios and Windows sees it but when I try to format like a regular drive nothing is there.

Try installing the raid drivers when you reach the point where you have to press F6 to install the third-party scsi or raid drivers at the start of the install.

Are you trying to install an OS on it or hook it up as a slave?

[*]If it's a slave go to administrative tools > computer mgmt > disk mgmt. You might have to initialize it first (right click the drive), then you can partition and format.

[*]If you are trying to install an OS on it follow the bacillus' directions.
