WD or Seagate client side PCIe SSD

Please suggest a WDC/HGST or Seagate client side pcie ssd for secondary storage. If used a enterprise pcie ssd on deskstop systems then what will the additional requirements for connecting it to host system.

I want to use it for desktop whose configuration is fedora core 20, kernel 3.13 and RAM 4GB.

Can the pcie ssd be directly connected to motherboard pcie slot or any other hardware is required to connect pcie ssd to host system.

I am looking for a ssd which can be used in AHCI or NVMe mode as well (as per requirement)

Neither. Intel > Samsung > Plextor. You don't have any other reasonable choices, and even the current Intel and Samsungs seem kind of silly with only 4GB RAM.

But, with such an old kernel, Plextor's M6 would be as adventurous as I would get, beyond using SATA.
