WD MyPassportEdge USB HDD_windows 7 doesn't see

Strictly see it in device manager, but not in Disk Management, see http://imgur.com/92YoLhD
It happened after reformatting the drive from FAT32 to NTFS (I need to connect it to a TV that cannot NTFS).
btw I have with this disc problems from the beginning when I bought it. I don't see it but hw errors rather a problem with the driver. The WD site has no driver, for W7, winupdate not find anything. Any advice what to do?
thx for the help
Peter

My 2 TB Western Digital even though it appears in the Computer drivers, there is always a Windows update for a driver for it

Are you able to completely delete all its partitions and recreate them in Windows Disk Management again or do you have DATA on it that you cannot lose?

The Passport probably isn't being seen in Disk Management because it doesn't have a volume drive letter assigned to it. First, use the commandline Diskpart utility, from an elevated command prompt, to check whether the Passport disk does or does not show volume drive letter/s assigned to it. Second, if the volume does show a drive letter/s assigned, removed it and replace with a new drive letter. Third, if the volume shows no drive letter/s, assign a new drive letter/s to it.

If there is more than one volume on the Passport, all existing drive letters will need to be removed then replaced with a new letter. If there are no drive letters, each volume will need to be assigned a new one. Be sure to choose volume drive letters that are different from the drive letters assigned to the volume/s on your other drives.
