WD My Book Premium wont power off

My external HD wont power off when I shut down my PC. I have tried everything, and followed the directions from their support site. I have reinstalled the WD Button Manager that is supposed to controll it, but nothing? Any help would be appreciated.

Mine also acts that way on occasion......infrequently however. It's most likely a hardware issue that cannot be fixed. Shrug it off.
