WD Media Player - Preventing shows from stopping mid way

As a Christmas present I purchased 3 of these:

Depending on the show we are having issues with the video stopping in the middle. The files are all compatible and play however they stop and will not play past a certain point.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Have a solution?

Im thinking some kind of video checker or something might possibly solve this...

What file formats are your videos are in? I know that media player cannot play back in 1080p, MKV, ISOs, and certin file formats...
Are you sure that is the correct wdtv model?

If anything check with WDTV's website and upgrade to the latest firmware if you have not already...
