WD ATA 100 80g Benchmarks

I have a Gigabyte 8ihxp, Win2k sp3, 512 kingston PC 1066 Rambus, MSI G4 4400 video card and WD special 80gig HD,
My benchmark using Sandra (newest version) is 19kps. I think I should be getting around 30kps. Has anyone checked their benchmarks?
And what could I have worong that isn't working. I don't think it running in Ultra ATA 100. Opening Bios says Mode 5. Mybe the controller on the motherboard is not setup proper???
Can anyone give me any ideas to check?
 
Sandra is a poor HD benchmark. Try something like Winbench99. Also Mode 5, as in UDMA Mode 5 is the same as UDMA/UATA 100.
