I'm going to try this one tomorow. Based off of other posts, it should work

Sams Club has the WD2500JBRTL (Western Digital 250GB 8MB buffer) for $118.43

CC has 2 rebates totalling $80

Western Digital - Save $30 on Hard Drive (WD2500JBRTL)! 7/24-7/30
CCity - Save $50 on Western Digital Hard Drive (WD2500JBRTL)! 7/24-7/30

$118.43 - $80 = 38.43 AR/PM

I wouldnt think so either. but reading posts at FW doing similar deals, most people have had good results. Will let ya know tomorow 🙂

Just a word of caution, may want to double check the rebate terms to make sure a price match doesn't disqualify the rebate.

I've done these types of deals before fine (well over a year ago though) but I've seen scattered posts saying CC changed their rebate policy. Just FYI

But a good deal nonetheless.

Yes, I too would be worried about the fine details of a PM. Some do not allow price matching or they may send you a smaller rebate check.

I got it to work.

ITs very YMMV, but go to the thread on this at Fatwallet. They have a good tips on getting this PM to work.

I got it too. The manager first said no, but then changed his mind. YMMV

But, I am beginning to wonder if it is really such a good deal. (Even more so since I may have to fight to get the rebates redeemed...)

Any opinions?

I think there was an identical deal Black Friday last year...I'm running the drive now and I had no problems with the rebates.

Looks like I might need another 250 gig drive...

I've done this deal more than once. It works and the rebates are fairly prompt. Only rarely has a manager wanted to deny the PM. Don't argue. Wait for a new manager to come on or try another CC. Also, with the 110% pm It comes to less than $30 AR and tax (in MD).

can someone post a copy of their pricematched receipt? The CSR here said he would pricematch it if he saw a receipt of another CC store giving it at the price. Thanks.

yea, same here..
i'm having troubles.. the CC customer service guy say they dont compete with Sams Club or Warehouse stores. So they cannot lower their retail price.

Any guys can help out?

Now they are say, the can match the 118.34 price from Sams Club, but the 80 CC Rebates wont go through.

any ideas?

in the past it hasn't mattered what the sales rep/manager says at the store since you can print the rebates out online.

However, there's no guarantee that the rebate warehouse hasn't been advised to look at the price on the receipt and not award rebates to price-matched purchases.

The rebate won't go through. When did you guys miss the memo? Circuit City will deduct the pricematch from the rebate, so if you save $40 from the price match, and it's a $45 rebate, they'll send you a rebate check for $5. It's all in the fine print, and it has BEEN THERE FOR A WHILE.

Its been in the fine print for while I belive, but people keep still get it. Check out FW, people there have been doing this for quite awhile now. I can't guarantee that you will get your rebates, but I'm positve you will.
