Note: If you can, refrain from doing the PM using their online form - i did it that way the first time around and i got shot down. It seems there's also someone else over at FW that was turned down using this method.

I went with a subtle Deal #2 and called to place my order. The deal was good enough for me so left out the coupon. Still came out to $68 to my door. :)

My OM rep told me someone else has already confirmed the price, so she didn't even have to check with CC on the authenticity of the price.

Some people over at FW have been able to do both the PM and Coupon via phone - but most have done it at the B&M level.

I've edited the first post with a link back to FW, there's also a deal for an 80gb + 64m Jump Drive for $50 something odd AR that's worth checking out :)

Nice deal. Thanks for the post.

My nearest Omax and CC are next to each other. And I got a online/phone $20 off $100 coupon from Omax thru the mai today.

$159.99 (Omax)
$137.99 (CCity) $32.00 = price difference + 115% Low price guarantee = $36.80
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$123.19 (PM price)
$ -20.00 of $100 coupon
--------------------------------
$103.19 + tax (6.25%)
$109.64
$-70.00 MIRs
$000.74 stamps
--------------------------------
$40.38/120GB = $0.337/GB. :D

"use $20 off $85 Staples coupon"
Where to find this coupon?
Any link? Or if this was sent to personal emails or something can I have it from somebody not using it?

The jerk managers at my OM always tell me they won't PM CC, only other office stores.

Official company policy is to price match ANY store. Point them to their own website. The 115% lowest price guarantee technically only applies to other office superstores...although I've heard that sometimes a real dick of a mgr will even turn down Staples because they are not "super" enough.

I had my wife call OM and ask if they'd pm CC, and he told her yes.
So I zoomed over, and when the manager gave me a hard time, I told him the person on the phone said it was ok to pm CCity, and he gave me the drive for the pm'd price, but not before yelling at the staff that they 'only pm other office stores'.

Maybe try calling back to get a different person and maybe they'll pm? Quote the above post too. :)

Woot! Just got my drive yesterday. It's a 120GB Special Edition (8mb cache) with the newer hard-plastic packaging. This is a pretty silent drive to say the least, and it's definitely a lot faster in read/write than my old 30g Maxtor.

Now to send over the rebates :)

Oh yeah, this is smokin! Thanks for the post! :D

$159.99 - $30 instant (staples) - 20 OMAX - 50 WD = $67 after tax. Now I have 2 of these. I paid $148 for the first and that was a good deal then!
