Hi, I plan to purchase 2 Western Digital 10,000rpm SATA hard drives from NewEgg but I have a motherboard that doesn't support SATA hard drive. Do I just need 1 RAID SATA controller card for them to work in raid 0? Can the SATA Raid controller card work as a regular SATA controller if I just need to use 1 WD 10,000rpm SATA hard drive nonraid?

You will need one PCI SATA Raid Controller that supports Raid 0, which pretty much all Raid controllers will do. The card will also work as just SATA ports if you only have one drive attached, or do not go into the setup and create a Raid array.
