WCPUID is identifying my PIII 800EB with a CPU type of "Original OEM Processor." Since I don't have any other CPUs to test, does that confirm that the CPU is definitely OEM, or do all processors show up in WCPUID that way.

Nope...that's normal. All processors will show "Original OEM Processor" for CPU Type 0.

The only time it will show something else is for CPU Type 1: these are Intel OverDrive processors.

Then how can you tell if it's an OEM or retail. I believe it was retail and I removed the retail fan to put on a GoldenOrb but can't remember for sure. Can WCPUID identify OEM vs. retail or do I have to look at numbers on the processor itself?

You will need to remove the heatsink and check the S-Spec marking on the processor itself.

Of course, if you have the box that the CPU came in, it is obviously retail, and you can check the S-Spec printed on the box itself as well.
