Cryprocoin tokens don't turn into money by magic. Consider what goes on there and whether it is ethical by your standard. Everybody (of those who don't stop thinking as soon as there is a prospect of being given money) will come to their own conclusions, since ethics are cultural and subjective.
If you consider it fun to play in a pyramid scheme, and hoping to be a victim that is not sitting at the bottommost layer...it would still be fun to do just hoping one day all your coins would be worth a bit more
