WCG: Drug Search for Leishmaniasis WU times?

VirtualLarry

No Lifer
On my Q9300 @ 3.0, I'm getting 5hr times for these WUs.

Can someone on a SB, IB, and/or Haswell give me their times for these WUs? Also on an FX-6300/6350, 8320/8350, if someone wants to chime in and has an FX AMD CPU.

I'm just wondering, if a SB/IB/HW gets 3hr WU times for these, then it might be worthwhile upgrading. But if they get 4.5hrs, then I would feel no need to change.

I'm also wondering about memory bandwidth shortages, due to the FSB and DDR2, with all four cores cranking away. Some DC WUs are very memory bandwidth-intensive.

I'm running a Pentium G2020 Ivy Bridge which runs at 2.9 GHz

My times for this project are 3.05 CPU time to as much as 5.28 hours per core for work units that yield from 83.8 to 155.9 BOINC Credit.

How many points did you get for that 5hr work unit? Because of the spread of times, it'll be easier to compare if it was for similar amount of credit.

This is with 16GB (2 x 8GB) of DDR3-1333 @ 9-9-9-25-34

How do I find out times and points for individual completed work units?

Edit:
Mine are 5.5 to 6.5 hours, and 128 to 154 points.

i'm looking at worldcommunitygrid.com under my grid -> results status

i then change the filters to only show me valid results from the machine and project i want to see

there's one where I used 3.47h cpu time / 3.65h total time for 116.7 claimed credit / 122.3 granted credit

it seems to be a little short of your goal but then again, if you get something like an i7, you'll have the benefits of hyperthreading plus a higher clockspeed

I stopped WCG for a few days, and now I'm not getting any of these WUs on my Q9300 right now, for several hours. I did get one CEPphase2 WU. I presume that they only send out one of those per machine, because I only got one, not four of them. I don't think I've ever gotten more than one of those at once.

Edit: Nevermind, got a whole bunch on my HTPC.
