That's what i have similar setup to yours, but i run a 3930 @4.1

The 1050 might even be a little overkill, but depending on future upgrades and other similar unknowns, I'd say a 1KW or higher of a reputable brand would be more than sufficient.

I bet a solid 850W (Corsair AX or Seasonic) would be "enough". Just depends on how much room you want to have to spare.

My processor with the OC is pulling more power than yours. The rest of the stuff is similar to my build except I have even more drives and RAM. My overclocked 295x2 has had no problems on a 60$ corsair 750M. Not that I'm recommending it but letting you know the 800 watt PSU you have now should suffice. No need to go crazy on a huge expensive PSU.

EVGA G2 1000w PSU for $160 AR

EVGA P2 1000w PSU for $180 AR

The P2 version best PSU I've used. I'd recommend it at a $20 spread over the G2.

Your PSU is powerful enough. The only concern that I have is how old is it? They used Chinese primary capacitors on those and they tend not to age very well. If it's a bit older, say more than 3 years I'd consider replacing it with a now high quality PSU. The rest of your system is good enough to deserve a good PSU.

This XFX 850W @ 119.99 is about the best least expensive PSU that I would buy. There are others, I'm sure, but this is a Seasonic made PSU and has exceptional performance.

The EVGA Supernova's recommended by Attic are also excellent. In that price range though you can also get the Seasonic built 1050W by XFX. Personally, I prefer Seasonics build quality.

You don't need 1KW PSU though for your system.

Yeah i agree the 1050 is overkill. I go by the mentality bigger is better and you can't never have too much. :sneaky:

But seriously OP your 800 should be enough as it has been stated. I would just plug it in and go to town. If it can handle and hour of BF4 max settings is good enough.
