When first iPad was rumored, the most common price rumor for base model was 999$.

When Apple made first announcement for it, it cost 499$.

Im just saying ;).

BTW. I think that R9 295X2 will disappear soon from horizon...

Also, there are rumors on the internet that the actual die size for Fiji chip is 576 mm2. Not any credible ones. Im not posting the source because its on the forum of site that was mentioned in this thread on last page, and the person who said it also has account here ;).

Long lost Nostradamus prediction :)

Out of the ashes a new king will arise.
The mighty one will stand in disbelieve.
Many will weep, few will rejoice.
The dawn of the new era will be mighty.

We need some decent leaks.

I don't understand the statement on the top of the ad... At first it sounds like they are ignoring 4K, since it says 99% of gamers don't run on 4K. But then they go on to say "when 1080p isn't enough". Are they targeting the 1%? Are they targeting the in between 1080p and 4K crowd?

Presumably meant to be targeting the x% who would like to add to that 1% but haven't yet as GPU's not there yet. Odd way of phrasing it though :)

PC Master Race elitism... They want to hit a soft spot.

I would like to add that if they produce a short-PCB 390x (WCE or not) it will be a GREAT option for enthusiasts. Without turning this into a discussion on the NV 970, my short-PCB 970 is amazing for my mATX build. If more higher-end cards are available without being huge behemoths in the case, its great for all of us. :)

Goading a certain number of the 99% to upgrade to 4K?

I'm sold on it at this point. Just need to get serious about which parts to pick.

What is that 99% of gamer's don't play on 4K even supposed to mean? Are they saying the card caters to the 1% or it is focused on 1080? Very ambiguous. If it's focused on 1080p, then we are probably looking at a 4 GB Radeon  :hmm: If it's focused on 4K, then maybe, just maybe it might have that 8 GB stack.

///Edit: Just realized firebird had the same question as me a few posts up!

I think they are saying most don't play at 4k because GPU's have a hard time with it. So they prefer FPS over quality. But the new unannounced AMD GPU can give gamers both.

I thought it was pretty straight forward, you know, logical.

Fiji is shorter than the 295X2 and 780Ti

Will the 295x2 goes down in price once this new GPU come out?

You can get a 295x2 for the price of a 980...how much cheaper do you want it to get?

Because $600ish (depending where you live) is HELLA cheap for a card like that. We are still talking about a dual GPU...it is very unlikely to get any cheaper than that unless AMD wants to go "negative revenue" with that card.

You can always try to get a used one, though.

I wonder why they didnt use the opportunity to say "The fastest and most advanced single graphic card in the world coming soon".

If I had the fastest card out there, I`d market it like that.
Since they only mention "most advanced" its almost like they mean with HBM but slower than Titan X. Not that it would shock me.

Gonna be interesting the days ahead. Leaks should hit us very soon I think

Reading too much into it I think. Powercolor has never been the best about marketing, lol

Its all context.

Did you know most people cannot do this amazing thing called 4k?
How would you like to be ahead of the crowd and be able to do 4k?
This card is for those who want to be in the top 1%.
