WC seperate loops

I currently have a single loop system with 2*240mm rads. Temps are okay, I guess, but it feels "sloppy". On of my rads is the MCR 220 with built in pump and res. I am thinking of getting another mcr 220 and splitting my loop. Basically cpu on one loop and Gpu on another loop.

To me, this would make things so much simpler. The mcr can easily be filled, bled, etc and when it comes time to service them, just pop them out, flush. Also less tubing to contend with (i just HAD to cool my nb, a mistake looking back on it).

Does anyone see a downside to this idea?

umm, how do you have less tubing going to dual loop? (edit - just noticed you meant not cooling the NB would save you tubing) You would have atleast 1 more tube (and if you aren't running 2 pumps already, you'll need another pump and reservoir)

I just made the switch the other way...

(edit 2) rather then mucking up your thread, I made a thread about the switch I made here

well, I changed my mind. Got me a new case, simplified my loop, and happy with the results so far.
