On the box it says

"Warning: Please void plugging it to CPU fan header on the motherboard, damages might occur to your motherboard due to high current. We strongly recommend you plug it to the case power supoly through the power supply connector attatched"

I have a abit kt7a-raid and i am pretty sure it will not boot if there is not a certain RPM from the fan header, also a 300w powersupply with this kt7a should have no problem with it being plugged directly in, am i correct?

The problem with that board has been resolved with an update to the bios. It depends on when you bought your board. The newest revision came out I believe in December of last year. I dont know what type of power connector is on the fan you have but you can buy an adapter for the fan so it will plug in to a 4 pin connector. Or you can splice it to a 4 pin. The power supply can handle it no problem.

Nononono. The certain RPM not booting thing is to protect you sot hat you dont fry your processor as far as i heard. And it has the normal fan plug going into a 4pin connect, i want to use the normal fan plug if possible. they just warn against it!

The reason for the warning is because the fan uses 3.8W, which might be too high for some motherboards to handle causing the motherboard header to burn out. This wouldn't damage your processor directly, but your processor will overheat if the fan isn't working. Just use the 4-pin adaptor. You'll lose the RPM monitor, but you wouldn't have any problems telling if it is working by listening to it.
