I'm running a ICS gateway server for my network that is left on 24/7 and I "think" it is jacking up my power bill. I'm not totally sure, but last month my power bill was around 20% higher than usual. Other than having the hard drives shut down, what can I try to conserve power?

btw: Its not a power system by any means:

P233MMX
Tyan Tomcat III AT mobo
80megs EDO simms
2gig
Linksys 10/100Mbit PCI NIC (network)
Kingston 10Mbit PCI NIC (DSL)
2 meg S3 Virge (no monitor)
Win2k Pro

HEEELLLLPPPPPP!

btw: I know this isn't exactly a networking question, but I figured you network gurus would be the masters at this type of stuff! :D

Little you can do, since the hardware is not likely to be ACPI compliant. However, I doubt one computer with no monitor would run up an electric bill significantly.

Might want to check that someone hasn't 'networked' themselves into your power line. Otherwise, unless your power supply is ridiculously wasteful, the comp shouldn't be the problem (maybe it's bc it's gotten colder?? )
