Way too Hot (I think)

My comp is at 125 Degrees F, i mean WTF. I don't think thats good, I bought a coolermaster fan for the Athlon and it lowered it a bit, is this still too hot, and this is when im gaming.

Whats a good temperature?

BTW i have an Enlight 7237 case, with no fans, should I add any fans and what do you recommend?

Thanx,
Nore

Why don't you leave the panel open and see if ventilation is your problem or something else.

I know your case, it a nice one i used to build an Athlon system to may brother.

If you put both an intake fan in the front and a exhausting one in the back you will improve your temperatures indeed.

I'm not sure, maybe Normal room temp as its not warm, its kinda chilly and crap. I live in NY and its pretty cold now.

Peace,
Nore

well it's not the best temp in the world, but you will do fine unless you plan on overclocking it. i might be off a couple degrees but the allowances for a t-bird are up to 195F, so you won't cook it, but possibly make it last longer if you cool it.

My temp is 133 F with it usually at 123, I have 2 case fans, and a average HSF that is AMD recommended. People tend to want to have extremes while the cooler the better your current temperature isn't near the treshold, and why an increase of 10 C from the norm can shorten the life of your CPU, people who tend to want to put BIG HSF and case fans, tend to be ocs and/or people who are trend babies, and will buy the next best thing in a year or less. With that said your chip will outlive (most likely) your next want to have the best equipment binge. My chip is Ocd (duron 700@909 a7v). I could probably get a bigger and bettrer hsf, but now my system is stable and cool enough for me, so why bother. If your temperature is steady at what you mentioned then its fine. Case fans are cheap so why not add some to make you happier, and your chip cooler

oh btw I hope you weren't saying that you were running your atholon without a HSF first.. then you added the coolermaster, because not having a HSF on a chip is a no no.. I have a coolermaster on mine also, and it does me fine. my extra case fan took off 10 F before I ocd, but that was because it was the rear fan, next to the cpu.

No I was running in with the retail fan for like 2 days, then that week I got my coolermaster and installed that, i might buy an Alpha PEP66 or something like that soon.

Thanx,
Nore
