Way to up refresh rate on ATI(X800gto) cards?

I recently went from a 6600GT to the X800GTO and am very happy with the performance of the card. The only "gripe" I have is my CRT supports 144Hz at 1024x768 resolution and 120Hz at 1152x864 resolution and the 6600GT also did. The GTO seems to only allow 120Hz at 1024 and 100Hz at 1152... Is this something a driver hack can change or is it a hardware thing where that is all the ATI X800 series of cards supports for refresh rates? I've been running bf2 at 1024x768(less tearing and can max out settings) but would love to go to 1152 without the tearing I get with 100Hz refresh rate. Any ideas??
