Way to test slingbox on my computer?

I might get a slingbox. My laptop is just above the requirements posted at slingmedia.com. Is there a way that I can test some "slinged" media to see how well it plays on my laptop, before getting my own slingbox?

Try Orb? I think it has similar requirements, if you set encoding to higher bitrate format.

I have a amd 64 3500+ 2 gig of ram win xp 32bit pc and i can't do anything else on the pc when slinging except the simplest of things like browsing or typing, etc
