Hey guys, just won a 9700 pro on eeeeebay! I was just curious, what's the best thing I can do to test the integrity of the card, and check for potential problems. And if what he says is true, and he hasn't oc'd it, would it still be under ATI warranty? My main concern right now, is that i'll get it, and there will be artifacts...

first, 20+ dollars too much for a 9700pro.

second. 3dmark 03, 3dmark 05. And just run them over and over again. The timedemo in Doom 3 is also an awsome detector of artifacts.

I guess i'll do a few runs of 3DMARK03 in loop, then play a lil doom 3 :) running '05 would be interesting, seeing as how I only notch a 750 with my current card...

Funny thing. When I OC my gainwards memory a bit too much (~1150 from 1100) doom runs perfect. The game artifact-ing is far cry.. :/

best thing is to run the game you bought the card for. run it right before you install the new card and run it after. then run some benchmark

that should be enough for self-justisfication
