Way to quiet down my PC

I was wondering if there is anyway to lower my fan speeds or something through a program because my computer can be a little loud for listening to music. I have a eVGA 6800gt that i think is making the majority of the noise, retail 3200+ and a thermaltake tsunami with the stock fans. Thanks for any free ideas to help me lower the noise when im not using any programs that need a large amout of cpu or gpu usage.

The case fans in the Tsunami are not the cause. They are quiet as hell. The CPU fan speed could also be problem if you are using stock. You should be able to control the CPU fan speed in BIOS . . . though it's limited . . .

SpeedFan is your best bet if your mobo supports the chips & PWM (pulse width modulation). Rivatuner WILL control your eVga quite well. Coolbits will also enable fan control on your gfx card.**Do some reading up on both of these programs...if you learn about them b4 you use them you will be a much happier camper. 🙂
