Way to "inject" RAID-0 drivers into existing WinXP .GHO image?

Building a custom machine for one of my users today: set up a RAID-0 set and ghosted our image to it via a USB key. Ghost saw the entire set and the image took, but right after rebooting, I get a split second of the XP logo loading screen, then the dreaded 0x7B BSOD. (inaccessible boot device iirc)

This image was created on a non-RAID machine.

So...I'm thinking it doesn't have the correct driver for the RAID controller. That's fine. I've actually downloaded the driver, I just wondered if there's a way to inject it into this ghost image through Ghost Explorer so I don't have to build a whole new one.

The image has tons of software and branding for our company, so I want to avoid a manual Windows install if at all possible.

I might go over and post this @ Symantec, I've just had good luck picking your collective brains and I wanted to get your take(s) first.

what type of drive was the ghost image on? Could you boot that in the system with the RAID controller? (like it was an IDE drive?) If so, then you can install the device driver then ghost to the RAID array. The other option might be to create a new ghost image from a windows install disc with that RAID driver slipstreamed into it. Or you might be able to utilize the sysprep utility, but i've never really played around with that.

The ghost image was loaded from a 4GB bootable USB drive I made.

I'm actually finding some good threads over @ the Symantec site. I probably won't have this figured out til next week, as its almost time for me to go. thanks for the reply though.

Ive done this a few times to get our HD playout machines working when a new model comes in....1 image works on 4 different models !


take the image
take the new machine w/raid0
- pop a small IDE drive into the new machine (remove the raid drives)

put the image onto the IDE drive, windows boots..'found new hardware'..install the raid drivers

then re-sysprep the system and make a new image (I version my images...1A, 1B, etc)
remove the IDE drive and put the raid drives back in, put the image onto the raid setup and everything should work as the drivers are now in Windows.

- takes me ~30 min start to finish on a new model machine
